Kona “Longboard Island Lager”

This is a low-effort post for a low-effort beer.

Picture 1
Beer.

This thing tastes sort of like tomatoes. Like, go down a bud light and then take a big whiff of a tomato plant and that’s exactly what this beer tastes like.

This is the only thing of note about Kona “Longboard Island Lager”.

It is otherwise a completely unremarkable and boring beer. There’s not even enough here to make fun of. It just tastes…..meh. In retrospect, this was maybe not the beer to review first. It’s smooth, I guess. I suppose I detect a slight hint of hops, or something.

Whatever.

The Spirit of Aloha*

*Brewed in Colorado.

It’s actually brewed in Ft. Collins, Colorado? Oh man, Nothing says “Aloha” like the Rocky Mountains! Also Kona “craft brewery” is actually part of a conglomerate of 9 other “craft breweries” that is 33% owned by Anheuser Busch soooo…… this “craft brew” that “pays tribute to Waikiki Beach” is actually a corporate sell-out that was brewed alongside Coors in a factory in America’s heartland. Aloha.
